Physiology Of Listening

Has to do with the phonological loop in the brain. If you are listening your phonological loop will repeat the sounds and the words that you have heard over and over. Kind of like a song being on repeat. A Great Thing!

Listening with your Eyes

When a person is listening there eyes do not wander. There eyes are still.

Listening is Mechanical

Listening is Mechanical. Speaking is Mechanical.  (Imagine a light switch. The top belongs to Listening & the bottom belongs to Speaking. Only one can be used at a time).

Turn off your reality when you listen

Turn off your reality long enough to get into someone's else.

Fake listening

People tend to fake listen, when they are not listening at all.

Examples:

Fake listening is holding on to your ideas while the other person is talking.

Judging what the person is saying.

When the speaker is done talking & the listener hasn't change.

Listening Carefully

Be careful what you listen to & who you listen from. Listening to meaningless & negative information not only leads to death of brain cells but an overall negative outlook on that situation.
